- Skelton Villages Civic Pride is formed
2012
- Skelton Villages Civic Pride undertakes first summer planting of barrels and pole baskets
2013
- First application made unsuccessfully to the Heritage Lottery Fund
2014
- “Round 1” application made to the Heritage Lottery Fund for a Townscape Heritage project for Skelton
2015
- February
  - Heritage Lottery Fund approves a Round 1 Development Grant of £69,200 to work up proposals for the Skelton Townscape Heritage project
- May
  - Project manager starts work
- July
  - Physical survey and heritage audit
- September & October
  - Design consultants appointed and outline proposals prepared
- 26^th October
  - Public consultation event
- December
  - Design review with the Heritage Lottery Fund
2016
- January & February
  - Design & cost review; final design review with the Heritage Lottery Fund

- Post-pandemic economic uncertainty means several properties withdraw
- Undertake second phase building works on remaining properties
- Complete and archive Activity 3: Recorded memories
- Publish Activity 5: Skelton Revealed was published in February
- Complete project-end evaluation
